DIETITIAN DIRECTORY
1. What do I gain by subscribing to this FREE service?
This free service is beneficial to dietitians in private practice and consultants. In fact, it's great exposure for any
RD who wants to be found by those searching the Web. In addition to
providing advanced search features such as a Zip Code search by radius, state, and specialty,
dietitians within this network gain the exposure of being a part of a niche
web site that is popular with search engines.
2. How do I sign-up for the Dietitian Directory?
Please go to the Dietitian Directory section for details.
3. What is the difference between registering on this web site as a regular member and registering on the Dietitian Directory?
You may be a member of this web site and keep your information confidential. However, the Dietitian Directory is a service that allows you to make your professional information
public. It involves a registration check with the
American Dietetic Association and allows dietitians to advertise their professional information
including specialties, office address, contact information, background, education, driving directions,
etc.
4. What pre-requisites are there for joining this service?
You must be a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association, and
you must be a member of this web site. Dietitian Central will verify your status with the
American Dietetic Association before your profile goes live on this network.
5. What does the 'Verified' icon mean?
When a visitor searches for a dietitian in our network, there is a 'Verified' icon that
displays on the dietitian's profile. This means that Dietitian Central has contacted
the American Dietetic Association and has checked that the dietitian's registration status
is active. The date when the registration verification was performed is displayed when
you move the arrow over the Verified icon. In other words, it is displayed as a mouse-over.
6. I just joined the Dietitian Directory. I filled out the
Directory Profile form, but need to tweak it a little before it goes live. How long do I have before I finalize my profile?
Once you've joined the Dietitian Directory and created your profile, you will be able to
edit it until you feel it is ready to be reviewed by our web site administrators. You may take as long as you need.
When you're ready, you will click a link on the Control Panel to change your status to the 'Review' stage. Our
web site administrators will take a look at your profile, make sure that all images and information
are displayed correctly and also check your registration with the American Dietetic Association. Once
our administrators have checked your profile, you will be sent an email
confirmation when your profile has gone live.
7. I uploaded my photograph, but I'm not happy with the size of it. I don't know how to crop it to the 100x120 size that's required. What do I do?
All profile entries are reviewed by our web site administrators before going live. You can simply
click the link on your Control Panel to have it 'Reviewed,' or you can email us at
Webmaster@DietitianCentral.com
to let us know you want us to crop the photo for you. We will do this at no charge.
